Regional Sales Manager

Delta Plastics is aggressively expanding domestically and internationally and is looking for a dynamic, tactical Regional Sales Rainmaker for Nebraska, Kansas, and surrounding areas with the skills and experience to successfully open new markets and drive rapid product adoption and sales growth.

Fast forward one year from today. You’ll have reinforced Delta Plastics’ position as the #1 provider of polytube irrigation solutions and have significantly accelerated adoption of our products in this new, highly attractive sales territory by establishing strong relationships with potential dealers and farmers, educating these potential partners on the many benefits of our products, and developing and executing tactical sales and marketing plans that effectively reach end-users. Your ability to communicate our unique closed-loop production, service and recycling model that separates us from our competition will have driven a 20x increase in sales throughout the region. You’ll be recognized as and rewarded for being the champion driving continued rapid growth for Delta Plastics in the Mid West by bringing low-cost, efficient irrigation solutions to farmers throughout the region.

An ideal contender will have an impressive sales track record in crop protection, crop nutrition, livestock nutrition and/or farm equipment.

Job Roles:

  • Educate farmers, dealers, and end users on the benefits of polytube irrigation by attending trade shows, conducting meetings, and utilizing social media.
  • Assess our existing sales relationships and set up a short and long term revitalization plan within first few months.

  • Create a marketing plan and validate key assumptions and product plans with customer base within first 60 days.

  • Review price/cost information and develop a realistic pricing strategy addressing competitive issues and technical trends.

  • Organize and participate in a variety of special projects related to the education and promotion of efficient irrigation including leading technical seminars, overseeing field days and boot camps, participating in trade shows, coordinating with stakeholders and working directly with farmers to teach best tools, practices, methods, and calculations in the design and installation of efficient surface irrigation systems (furrow and flood).
