Skilled Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:   Keep all equipment operating through preventive and as-needed maintenance and document all repairs.


  1. Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  2. Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
  3. Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
  4. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary
  5. Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
  6. Responsible for rebuilds.
  7. Assist in other areas as needed to perform maintenance duties.
  8. Follows company policies and procedures and works in a safe manner.


  • May occasionally have to work overtime, days or nights.
  • Exposure to heat and cold.
  • Exposure to all types of weather.
  • Exposure to noise of recycling equipment.


  1. 3 - 5 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment REQUIRED
  2. Minimum high school level education with relevant technical training
  3. Dependable and self-directed.
  4. Strong team player.
  5. Focus on safety.
  6. Good communication skills.
  7. Strong problem solving skills.
  8. Systems and continuous improvement orientation.
  9. Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Pay: $17.00 per hour - $24.00 per hour
