Supply Chain Service Representative

Delta Plastics of the South, LLC. is searching for a positive, self-starting Supply Chain Service Rep! Customer service is our top priority, and this position is your chance to be an integral part of our company. As a Supply Chain Service Rep, you will be responsible for expediting orders and increasing sales by acting as a liaison in problem solving, research, and account management.

Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Accept inbound calls, emails, and faxes from various sources including but not limited to customers, sales representatives, and brokers
  • Initiate outbound communications as directed by new business development to secure new business and recycling partners
  • Ensure contacts have a positive experience by committing to exceed customer expectations.
  • Work to understand complex functional situations by paying attention to the details of the task at hand
  • Collaborate with appropriate parties to identify the drivers leading to business success
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of business practices and procedures as well as a working knowledge of product/service features used in customers’ business
  • Interprets and applies systems knowledge & tools to manage customer requests
  • Coordinates problem resolution with appropriate parties to identify the drivers leading to business success
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency while providing flawless attention to detail on transactions and services
  • Serve as a backup to receptionist as needed

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. Minimum of 3 years Customer Service experience
  3. Prior computer experience using Microsoft Office systems preferred
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  5. Good math skills
  6. Dependable, self-directed, professional, and organized
  7. Good multi-tasking skills
  8. Ability to lift approximately 15-20 pounds
  9. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments
  10. Available to work overtime and on call as needed
